The Hilton Head Island Senior Center is managed by the nonprofit Island Recreation Association. The objective of the Senior Center is to maximize the quality of life among the active adult population (50+) in our community by providing programs which facilitate social interaction and promotes a healthy, active lifestyle. We are located at 70 Shelter Cove Lane, Suite L, in the same building as the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office on Highway 278. We offer a variety of Exercise Classes, Art and Craft Classes, Educational Seminars, Preventative Health Screenings, Social Gatherings, Bridge, Mah Jongg, Day and Overnight Trips, Recreational activities such as Golf, Tennis and Bowling, and so much more. The Hilton Head Island Recreation Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people of all ages. The Association produces, provides and coordinates public recreation programs, "wellness" activities and community events. The Association commits itself to monitoring the recreation needs of the community and instituting change where appropriate.
