Back in 1979, we were a windsurfing school operating off the beach in Sea Pines Plantation. Since then, Outside Hilton Head has grown to become the Lowcountry's leading outfitter. In addition to providing a multitude of excellent programs 365 days of the year, Outside has two retail locations—Shelter Cove and Palmetto Bluff—and offers group adventures, destination management and team building services with Team Outside.
To date, we have over 30 years of experience creating and customizing premier, life-changing adventures. We possess the "O" factor—which encompasses everything from being good stewards of our environment and recycling to our guests saying, "Oh, that was fun."
Our programs include guided Hilton Head kayak tours, kayak fishing, boat-based dolphin tours, charter fishing, boat charters and rentals, tours of historic Daufuskie Island, children's and teen's camps, SUP surf lessons, and leadership programs—just to name a few.
We specialize in customizing adventures to suit your interests. Whether it's our private and secluded island, Page Island, or your own location, we can accommodate large and small scale occassions.
Outside's flagship store is located mid-island on Highway 278 (between mile markers 7 and 8) in the Plaza at Shelter Cove. You'll find an outstanding selection of clothing, gear and other goodies for most any outdoor activity.
